Campaign Turn 2 Offensives

The offensives for the second turn are in, and it is time to schedule games. This I will do on an individual basis, however, I would very much appreciate other players arranging their games (eg. Oliver vs. Olli).

Campaign Turn 2 Begins

The second turn of the campaign begins. The ownership of territories is now as shown above. Please all factions send me (email or sms) the co-ordinates regarding their next move.

Victory for Venusia!

Citizens rejoice! For today the glorious warriors of Alexander have triumphed over our numerous foes and secured our first step onto the mainland! Let our banners stand proudly and let our enemies cower in fear at the sight of our armies!

The pathetic Baviarian barbarians were the first to suffer the wrath of our raiders, as one of their leaders was hunted down as the coward ran from his devastated city. Displeased with the fight our enemies put up, our warriors immediately struck the walled city of the Federation, only to be once again disappointed as the numerous enemy were struck down by the cold steel of our righteous blades. Later the official presiding over the town was found cowering in the cellar of a collapsed building after having sent his last soldiers to their doom, too arrogant to admit defeat!

Saturday Campaign Game Details

The campaign game mentioned earlier will begin on Saturday at 16:00 Finnish time providing that each participating faction has at least one player. Once again it is advised to reserve time for the event in advance and come in good time. Please do notify me if the time is inconvenient for you, especially if it only requires minor adjusting.

Campaign Turn 1

The Kingdom of Bahdul advances uncontested towards the coast. The Thallssocracy of Venusia, The Free State of Bavaria, and The Federation have all sought to conquer the central highlands, and area of great strategic importance.

The battle for the highlands will be a Regicide game, see original campaign post for other game settings.

The preliminary date for the game will be on the 25th, Saturday. However I have yet to make contact with most players and this date is likely to change, further details will be posted later.

Let the games begin!

The first campaign turn has started, I would like all factions to send me an email with the coordinates of the territory from which they are initiating their offensive and the territory into which they are attacking as soon as possible. Games will be scheduled once all factions have made their move.

The Kingdom of Bahdul

Bahdul is a poor country witch has an insane Emperor Sabdullah Alid. Alid and his loyal servants swim in gold but the common people live in poverty. Taxes are high and if someone doesn't pay his taxes, he is fed to alligators.

All the taxmoney goes to Alid's mighty army. Roads are awful because no one ever repairs them. Water is very bad in Bahdul and tons of people die all the time because of that and the many diseases. Bahdul has all the problems a kingdom can have. It's the worst place ever so far.

The Thalassocracy of Venusia

The Thalassocracy of Venusia, once an assortment of bickering merchant kingdoms, has been united by Alexander Thracio, whose wealthy family now holds a firm grip over their maritime realm.

In Venusia politicians and businessmen are one and the same, and few are those in the aristocracy who are not merchants. Foreign civilisations often look at the Venusian upper classes with contempt, appalled at its inclusion of merchants.
Venusia is almost entirely dependent on its maritime trade (its inland territories being largely uninhabitable marshland and jungle), and has grown immensely wealthy without the constant fighting that dominated its past. To their annoyance, foreign rulers have now been forced to recognise this upstart of a country as a threat.

Fuelled by ambition, greed, and his newly amassed wealth, Alexander now sees a world for the taking, and is already laying plans to expand his empire, no doubt first seeking monopoly of the seas to ensure continued gluttony for years to come. With the savage military history of the region ensuring an abundance of experienced soldiers and seamen, Alexander is confident that nothing will stop his aggressive campaign.
